Getting It Done: Faculty Reflections on Writing

Suffering from “imposter syndrome” is a common experience in graduate school, especially when it comes to the one academic task most likely to make a person feel frustrated and inadequate: writing. In order to help graduate students manage both the psychological and the practical challenges of getting their writing done, the Writing Center hosts this roundtable of distinguished GC faculty as they reflect on the hurdles they continue to face as writers and the strategies they’ve developed along the way to overcome them. This roundtable will be of interest to graduate students of every level who are—or will be—writing research papers, theses, and dissertations.

Panelists include Serene Khader, Associate Professor of Philosophy and Jay Newman Chair in Philosophy and Culture; Paul Krugman, Distinguished Professor of Economics; Bianca Williams, Associate Professor of Anthropology; Feisal Mohamed, Professor of English; and Leslie McCall, Professor of Sociology.

Reception to follow.

If you plan to attend, please RSVP using our event registration form.
